IBAC International Standards Programmes grow leadership team

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) has expanded its leadership team for the International Standards for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and Business Aircraft Handling (IS- BAH) Programmes, to keep up with growth and increased interest in these global codes of best safety practices for the business aviation community.

IS-BAO Vision 2020 Initiative Fact Sheet

IS-BAO is the only business aviation standard by operators, for operators. It has been a successful safety and operations system for 15 years with nearly 800 operators worldwide.

Beginning in the fall of 2016, the IBAC IS-BAO team went on a listening tour to hear from operators and auditors. You spoke, via industry roundtables, associations, and boards; operator direct feedback; your representatives on the IS-BAO Standards Board; operator focus groups; and auditor focus groups

IS-BAO Standards Board Approves Vision 2020 Initiative

IS-BAO, the only voluntary safety standard for business aviation by business aviation, was elevated to new heights today with a big vote of confidence from industry leaders in a new and improved standard. The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) is rolling out a modernized and consolidated version of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), the voluntary, global code of best practices for business aviation. This comes after a unanimous vote from the IS-BAO Standards Board made up of flight department industry leaders and recognized subject matter experts.
